RX cap can be critical to tune up closely.
Generally it is close to 0.033 (33nF). But if you put just 33nF that will not do.
Better put 22nF + .... in parallel , close to 33nF..
Be patient and give it chance, try to tune it as closest as possible.
Once tuned - hell of detector !
Deepest from all hand made presented here on Geotech forums.. no competition at all!
Just obtained one of these Fisher coils, I measured TX=1mH RX=6.98mH
How do I calculate the correct caps ?
I tried Ivconics 330nF and 33nF, it didn't seem to be right
Is there a scope picture on here somehwere that will help me set RX correctly ?
Hello Silverdodg
Here is a photo of the cancellation coil, my IDX_PRO
RX seems to work best near 90 degrees as in the photo.
16 volts for TX, 2 volts for grid
+ or - 150 mV for RX, 50 mV per grid, pin 6 of 5534.
Greetings Jose
Has anyone got the EDU IDX pro two tone board working? Mine works ok for steel- deep tone, but when I try non ferrous such as a penny, quarter or dime I get one half the depth that i got before and terrible static.http://www.geotech1.com/forums/image...milies/mad.gif
