    • You don't need to build a generator, it is on the line.
Add a 1k resistor in series with the generator and connect the oscilloscope in parallel with the LC.

      • thank you very much, my brother. Good idea, this what I need

        • Is this max depth of IDX-PRO? Because I read here 60cm for 1euro in the air but I can't achieve it. https://youtu.be/yJzRr4prhhg

          • What depth are we talking about? You can get 1 meter in the air and it's not difficult. Only this meter-high air sensitivity will give absolutely nothing, on real soil and in the soil layer, even worse.
P/s ...it is better to accurately identify a target by 30 cm in the soil layer than 60 cm in the air, although everyone has their own.

Hi. with this device, not everything is so simple. you can overclock it, but this is not very good, it has a large current in the transmission circuit and the device works well only on light soils. in chernozem and clay, he goes blind. here I made this device 10 years ago, for a copper coin with a diameter of 45mm through the air of 65cm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXyIXFg2pKE

              • Good job, but sounds a little different than mine. What is the thickness of the wire for TX that you use?

                    • Hi all friends, I am trying to design this circuit with 2 layers, all the jumpers are removed and it should perform much better.

                      • Good evening, I have a question to ask the Gurus of the forum, I have an IDX pro assembled about 8 years ago on an ex silver dog circuit, it works great, but only in the autumn winter and spring period, in summer when it is hot it reduces the its potential by half. I thought that some component such as a capacitor could change its capacity as the temperature changed. I tried several times to replace capacitors, but I didn't get any results. Where do you think I could find the faulty component? Thanks for your reply.

                        • You will need to troubleshoot with an oscope and a heat gun. Start with the TX, make sure it is not collapsing at high temp. Then look at the target strengths of the X, R, & G channels at cool and hot. And so on.

Hello, the head calibration is probably slipping due to the heating of the epox.

                            • Hello, the head calibration is probably slipping due to the heating of the epox. =epoxy resin is not necessarily the culprit, thermal expansion of the head.....
                              Check the head.
On a sunny day put it on the ground and make a shadow on it, a piece of cardboard 10 cm above the coil, turn on the machine and check the efficiency, remove the cardboard, wait 15 minutes and check again.

                              • dgm, post a pic of the coil. Have you tried another coil?
