        .......As against a slider pot?

What is also important to know is Log or Linear versions......

        • Hi

I used this rotary encoder pot:

          http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCI0064.jpg

I don't know its type. Rotary encoder pots are not linear or log. Rotary encoder pots generate clock pulse.

I am using rotary encoder pots on my other projects.

Rotary encoders are not pots. But they can be used to encode a resistance when correctly used with other components.
As the word encoder was not previously mentioned, it was difficult to help.
            Now its cleared up properly.

                • thank you very much for your reply MR Orbit ;my dear friend as far as i can see , there is no mentioning of feed back loop in the post witch MR ivconic has made, can you please tell me more about that and the way it can be connected to IDX and if possible tell me about winding directions of the tree coil and placement of feed back coil (if possible graphically) i apologize for troubling you in advance.

In Hungary, 24-step encoder can be taken. Previously, I wrote in the web shop are available. There are push-button, which should be here. There will be no problem if you do not pass 20 of the encoder?

many many thanks for this great site and your work. great projects, especially this one. I would love to build these detector. I am electrician with basic knowledge and a lot of soldering experience. I've already built the hammerhead and now it is time to deal with something new. I must first see if I get any parts, then I will build a pic burner.
I hope you will support me if I have problems ....

what alternative is there for the LM2930-8V?

sorry for the bad english ....

Many greetings and best for the new year, marc

The next task is you have to remove "Geotech VDI" and insert in its place your greeting. How about that?
Maybe you will be able do do it ever to 2013.
