        • The config bit settings are included in the hex file.
          Regards.

          • Hi there, Wich type of resistors its better for the Silverdog PCB? 1/4w or 1/8 ? Both of them fits on the board but not sure if 1/8 its ok....

            Thanks in advance.

I'm using 1/4W. The worth of 1/8W too.

              • Thanks

                I'll use the 1/4w.

                  • Am a little confused.. vdi vdi pro is this two detectors or one. having read through most of the thread. it seems this a pic based detector, just my cup of tea.
but will it work on the beach or should look further. I would like to write my own code for the pic or at least add my input to the group if the source code is released. some on here have been doing a bit with the code but the aurthers seemed a bit protective of their code. Are we allowed to write code and release it on here without upsetting anyone or is it considdered bad form ?

                    • idx is the detector. and not pic-controlled. the pic is for the control of the vdi. vdi shows you the conductance of the findings. the idx can also work without the vdi.

                        • Do not waste your time . The best motion discriminator is Fisher 1266 in frequency 8 khz.

                          • I think we both share a view of slow motion-compensated rig to be the way to go, but I did not do anything about it yet with my own rig. It will be a trivial task of replacing the existing elco-s with ~4 times bigger, but the end result will be just nice. In my mods of IGSL I achieved level compression without time compression of the detected signal, and nice phase accuracy, and I can easily move the coil slowly across the target to achieve almost pin-pointing precision. To squeeze even more of the good stuff I think quadrupling the HPF capacitors would lower the cutoff just enough to have almost non-motion behaviour.

I know you tried it, so - what are your impressions?

                              • Checked practicable. Scheme filter movement of Fisher 1266 works best in hard soil with salt.
