Falsing on wet grass

Did anybody find a fix for poor wet grass performance for this?

This usually means that the LCD contrast adjustment is set too high on pin 3.

Ty holyuser. I thonk i can see at least words on display. I solve LVP programmer i make one easy JDM programer and ok for High Voltage.



However the same i See one line 1x16 full black blocks. My code is ok i`ve tried 7 pics, circuit ok.

Same problem exactly like ahmad LCP jpg.


To see full blocks on pin 3 = 0v If I turn the RT1 20k pot , pin 3= 5v and LCD nothing.

I try diferent LCP panels, diferents PICS, programmers,.hex´s, i`ve checked board,components,voltages, but dont know.


My DVI conect to main board to bat +12, +8v, GND(0v) and x,y.

If I adjust Pot only blocks appear or disappear but no word to see :S only these blocks ever...

Voltages on 16F88 are:

1- 5V 10 - 2,5v
2- 2,7V 11 - 2,5v
3- 0 12 - 0
4- 0 13- 0
5- 0 14 - 0
6- 5v 15- 5v
7- 5v 16 - 5v to 4,5v
8- 5v 17 - 0,1v or 5v changing
9- 5v 18 - 5v to 4,5v


If no PIC on socket, there are the voltages on pins 16f88 socket on vdi board:

1- 5v 10-2,49v
2- 2,7v 11-2,49v
3- 0 12-0
4-0 13-0
5-0 14-5v
6 -0 15-5v
7-0 16- 5v
8-0 17-5v
9-0 18-5v

If there are the pic or not on the socket i see the same blocks as the image above from ahmad.

On the tl072 pins are:

1- 2,76 5- 5,0
2- 2,76 6- 2,76
3- 2,76 7-2,76
4- 0 8- 2,76

i use differents software to to program all ok i compare buffers code all ok. differents pics same, if i remove pic LCD same :S

Its firs time programing pic and running lcd so i think its the problem .

One thing i can understand why my idx gnd is 4v my gnd vdi board is 0, lol.

i have this layout too


I will check for the changes on Board which you have posted (specifically resistor R25) but i believe silverdog has it upgraded in his Kit.

is it important, that the Vr3 have 1 kOhm? if yes, between which pins ?

By the way, the direction of the "Zener" Diode is in wrong way in this layout!

the zener is over properly. if it`s an `48, then it would be wrong.

Hi,

the value of my resistor VR3 was first 4,66 Ohm. I have it changed to 1 kOhm, but what should be better?

Note:
The 3n9 is on my Board a 3n3

Ok i solve all mi pics, programer etc problems with DVI . Was a board defect. PIC hadn´t pin 3 to 6(LCD) continuity. Was easy but headache with the problem.
