the mpsa13 has the right direction. what speaker are you use? i had the same problem with a wrong speaker......i think i read in one schematic something like 50ohm-speaker.....you came use a piezo-speaker, like in silverdog's kit....

for what kind of money this detector? Roman? , Gallic? gold? money? bronze? copper?

OK , I'm the cabler different potar, discrimination, treshold GEB ... PP points correspond to a push button for pinpoint? An average value which should make for your R25
