  • I've also made a small modification in the sensitivity by changing the potentiometer value of 100k for a 10k, annulling the R26 and the positive track potentiometer sensitivity. In this way the detector is gaining a lot of sensitivity and I've also changed the resistance amplitude intervals R7 by a 33-51 Ohms.

    • The search coils 27cm DD: TX wire from 0.70 to 35 laps - 0.587 mH -1 mF parallel capacitor RX wire from 0.15 to 270 laps - 35.6 mH - 0033 mF parallel capacitor. Rx search coil canceled 1mV.

That is inductance for Black max 950 concentric coil. IDX works the best with that coil.
I am asking you how it works outdoor becouse you made a DD coil with same inductance.
          I never tried it.

              Please clarify this:

              DD coil
TX coil .70 MM wire thickness,1 mf capacitor replaces what? C21? or ?
RX coil .15 MM wire thickness .0033 mF capacitor replaces what?
Is there a schematic that represents your PCB?
              thank you

              • The capacitors must be put inside the search coil.

                • I WAS WRONG, but it CAN be done uing the X into the Vref method, then there is no need for complex maths. BUT.. I applaud your BRILLIANT solution Holyuser. I have been intending to do the same thing for a LONG time, but never found the time (or inclination).

WELL Done, now about that ACHTUNG MINEN removal.. I would like to license the software off you with a message of MY choice inserted. Please PM me to dicuss payment etc if you are interested.

Holyuser, on the VDI board, what is the value of R2? I am using a 12-13v supply. In other words is PIC pin #2 supposed to read a certain V value? thanks

                    • You must calculate the value of the resistor so that a fully charged battery at the entrance of the processor (pin 2) is 3.1738 volts, if VDD is exactly 5.000 volts

                            • Qiaozhi,

It's called a custom charactor. Here is one description.
