My idx depth homemade 10" DD
There are lots of air test results availble for kits but few in european soil - taking inspiration from dons ground tests I set up a bed. 1" depth increments, short lawn on top.
Targets are 0.5" diameter lead balls.
Disc open 7"
Disc rejecting nails etc 5"
I will arrange an AIR and add.

hi at all,
I want to build my second idx. This time the board with 2 ton.
I have some questions for the experts. what to consider? must be changed something at the idx board?
and a second question: the sensitivity of the vdi is not very high. about 15 cm for an euro. is there a possibility to improve the sensitivity? which are the best for the vdi connections, on the idx board?
i hope somebody has some answers....
best regards, marc

Hi, best way to add 2tones to idx is connect it by a switch like in scheme in #1320 at colector of Q3 in this way You don`t have to change anything. 2 tones indicates all metals rejected by discrimination soe use it all time is torture for your ears. I switch from 1tone to 2tone when I found a target, it is very helpfull to identify rusty iron. About sensitivity of vdi it is hard to improve it, i trayed some things but with no result
Regards.
