Hi I am making my first coil and have a few questions.
It's going to be a 27cm DD. I have made a jig with the shape from in the TGSL_101 instructions
Found several different winding in this thread but they are close so
TX=35 turns 0,70 +1uF parallel
RX=270 turns 0,18 +33nF parallel
My questions are
1 Do I wind both the same direction
2 Each coil will have a start and a finish (TX start TX finish) (RX start RX finish) what pins on the connector do each go to.
3 Should I shield the TX as well as the RX
4 Which pins should the shield be connected to
5 If I stack the coils side by side as the come of the jig and open them out to make the DD shape. Is this right or will one have to be flipped over.
6 At the overlap one will be at the bottom should this be the TX or RX or makes no difference
7 The coil will be used on a 6000d and a silverdog does it make a difference which I set the frequency and null on.

Hi I have a whites IDX PRO detector and I would like to put a better VDI display with numbers rather than the blocks on the standard LCD screen.
Can anybody suggest suggest the best LCD VDi to use from this project.
Can I use the Lugatek DM-1 kit on this detector yes/no complicated to attach etc ??
