      • Not been following the md4u thread. Just had a quick look and the board in first post is the one I made.

translators aren't so good on that site. Translates the words but somehow the meaning gets lost.

I saw this board long time ago, if u look better at pcb, there are no major change's. Most diffirence is visible from right - down corner (U4). I have last one pcb file from Eduardo which is posted here. Can attach here if u interested.

I mean, bigger coil is less imune to electromagnetic interferences. Cell phone towers, power sources, etc.

                • There is 2 vr insted a resister in down the board and one disconnect about ic lf347 and some change with resister value

10" is a good all round size. Normally fine near power lines

6" is better if there is iron about.

I have only been on one site that interference was a problem. Next to a electric railway line. Affected both coils. Been on another site were there was underground power lines. Was still detectable with the 10" but had to turn the sense down a bit.

I have tried adjusting the Rx capacitor. You can get more depth as in many YouTube videos air tests are fantastic. However it looses a lot in the ground and more unstable.

It is ok for 10 inch coil, but i mean 15" or bigger. Its terrible to work with this coil under power lines, towers...

Aprox 50 cm for 1e coin size. In air. Maybe u can get more, but u will get into instability, chatering. 50 is enough, trust me.
Even if u wanna search for WW2 panzer tank, buried 2 meters in ground.
