Do you get plus and minus 4 volts
Mine has never done a start up beep. I get a bit of chatter without a coil but others get nothing.

          • From memory one side of C27 is positive the other minus when compared to battery minus

be careful with the audio and TX as both use minus not earth.

For audio stage, what transistor is used? If there is BC517, must be turned for 180 degree.

You are correct. Its been awhile since I visited my IDX

Ground is the outer track of the board not battery negative.

                    Have you tried a coil.

You could check the Wave on the TX with a coil connected

Golfnut did give some test points here http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...658#post181658

Or does a vdi for TGSL exist?

                            • Yes you can use this vdi, but this kind of vdi detects only on your half distance.
