    All, tempted to make a unit. If I get impatient I am looking at a cscope cs3mx.


    Generally I heard they are sensitive, clear but not hugely deep -is that fair?




    Also
    Anyone used these much on damp sand?

    I would expect the cs3mx to perform poorly on wet sand, as it's a VLF motion detector running at 17kHz.

    Here's an interesting video on the cs3mx that explicitly states that.

      Being a UK brand, they are popular with UK detectorists. Find a UK detecting forum for opinions, eg. metaldetectingforum(dot)co(dot)uk. They are generally regarded as quite deep for the price, and being high frequency (18KHz?) are good for the tiny finds.
