LOOKING FOR ULTIMATE DETECTOR

Hi everyone im new and im desperately needing your knowledge on finding the ultimate detector money not an option.My searches will mostly be covering huge surface areas mostly deep to moderately deep areas on hillsides and neer alot of solid sandstone caves etc detecting for gold.I have seen alot of makes namely the OKM range exp5000 with a huge price tag on it .Is this a good detector or am i waisting my money.Please could someone help me cut to the chase and refer me to the best please with deep sysmic searching capabilities with gps co-ordinate data loging etc and various metal discrimination abilities.

$5000 detector will go with 2 gram nugget at about 15 +- 5cm.
$500 detector will go with 2 gram nugget at about 10 +- 5cm.
I think Your first car was not Ferari as well.

Hi Mario thanks for your time.The depth location should be around anything from 5m to surface and some areas with deeper 10m deep chasisms in some areas inbeded in sandstone.Thanks guys for all the coments however im quite familiar with more of the subsea type detectors namely TSS 440 type as i work in the ROV industry but i have this loot i need to find and i need something to get the job done without huge amounts of trial and error.Well Mario ill wait to hear what you have to say.

Hi Goldy,

Finding a horde that deep with conventional detectors will be extremely difficult. The best consumer Pi detectors have a penetrating range that tap out under 50cm using very large search heads.

Having said that, you have not mentioned the size of your bounty, which has to be very heavy if you are to locate it at those extreme depths. For reference, the above comment about consumer detectors referred to a stash under a kg.

Since I have no experience using such equipment, I can not be of much help.

Perhaps other members could steer you in the right direction.

if you looking for gold deposit as a mineral at 5 to 10 m than You try to do it as professional do. You need to make a pattern of drilling points, collect samples for analyses. Gold deposit cams in patches so via analyses of samples You can determine if You have a gold patch or not, Locate the center and dig for gold. While digging use metal detector but if finding is good, make a claim and sell info about it to professional mining company.
To take samples from 5 to 10 m you do not need very fancy drilling rig. You can get some used one and mobile. Gold in form of nuggets is near the surface (unless some geological events occurred). Gold in the rock is rather much deeper (100s of meters).
This is just to give You idea - but as advice in general when You want to spend (invest) more money do Your homework and keep asking. All info about gold deposit exploration is on the net so if You have a tip about specific location You need some study time - it is a good fun too. I am not aware how to do it other way.

Hi MARIO thanks for your info and WAM thanks buddy you guys have been a great help.I have just been checking out a couple of detectors and have now stumbled across the Makro Jeohunter 3d and they say it has seriously deep location abilities up up several meters with a meter sized search coil for a deep searching head going down in size to various smaller coils for shallower searching.Now i must be missing the picture here slightly as the true abilities of these detectors as being true, but you guys are the profesionals and you would have known about these products if they where as good as they say they are ,so i take it as its all just an overexageration to sell there products or what? Is this detector the way to go if i have to spend $6000 for it?Please guys if you can just tell me yes or no say i dont have to waist my time.Mario to answere your question the stash is a couple ton believe it or not in coins and bullion i hope i spelt that right and im almost onto it man serious.Wam, i have been doing my homework as to finding this but dont count your chickens they say so ill just see what happens.Ok then guys a straight answere if this is going to be a waiste of my hard earned dollars please advise.

Get the Jeohunter with 1m coil if you wanna find very deep stuff.

Or if you wanna spent 5000 bucks more get a computerised gradiometer-detector.

And very low-cost try with a 1m frame PI detector.

Hi, If You believe that in the location are nuggets about 0.5 kg and bigger (very rear and very ... thinking) then You will have more fun with Makro Jeohunter 3d, but if the area will be with typical nuggets of 2g 5g 20g and free of iron junk then Minelab GPX will be the best up to 40 cm. Other detectors will be similar for similar targets.
My advice is - if it is all about gold in specific location and minimum investment to confirm it, then any gold detector will do the job - it will tell You if gold is there or not and what quality finding it is.
If it is not abut gold and investment but about excitement adventure and quality of Your life time and recreation in the nature then the Makro Jeohunter 3d is to go. It will deliver the best value for money. Looking for gold is more about You than a gold. It takes time (and money) to understand that metal detectors for gold nuggets are within similar performance. Difference between the best and average will be in the range of 10 to 20 cm depth including Makro Jeohunter 3d.
Compare latest computers - they all the same - You can not get a computer 2 x better (faster) then others new one. Buy Makro Jeohunter 3d and tell us how happy Youare with it.

OKM DETECTORS

What about the OKM range WAM? They have seriously deep values to their charts.Are you familiar with these detectors based on windows operations.

OKM is giving facts about findings to be convenient for marketing. It will not provide info about detection distance for spherical ball of iron (this target is use in metal detector standards by EU science ). The best PI detectors with standard coil can detect 4mm ball at 10 cm, 8 mm ball at 20 cm in air. etc.. . It will differ in grounds and with coils but there is no magic (except LRL). Windows software does not detect, it will give you more fun during detecting and this is what You pay for. All big forums, experiments and reveres engineering is not about designing detectors 2x better but 20% better and it is a lot already. Consider entry to MD via evolution, step by step.

I thought it was a bit to good to be true as a TSS 440 detector behind our sub with 1.3m search coils running on 110v starts looseing target at about 2m .Ok then so there is nothing available for the searching i need to do ?Oh well thanks guys sorry to all the frustrated readers and thanks for your patience.

The best tool for Your search is located above Your neck. It is very capable to check if gold is out there and how to detect it, use it and do not give up. Now you know that if your spot has a gold and it was checked by others with metal detectors then there is no way they could detect any nugets about 2 grams at 20cm and more. All this nugets are waiting for You. Good lack.
