Ishtar, from your message it appears that you have already purchased this model, but I think that this is the wrong expression because of ignorance of the English language.

This detector can not detect deeper because of its incompetemt designed coil system. The RX coils are placed one above other (as coaxial gradiometer). Unlike planar gradiometer (twin loop), the coaxial placed RX coils can not suppress significant the GND signal. Moreover, the TX coil is not placed in induction balance with RX coils. That means a large AIR signal exists in input of RX preamp decreasing modulation index of target signal.

The combination AIR & GND signal limits possible gain of preamp, ie reduces possible RX sensitivity. In addition, the sensitivity is reduced because the coil system is moved at significant distance from ground. It is not suitable for detecting of coin size (small) targets.

This equipment is designed to detect unexploded ordinance (UXO) devices. Is that what you're searching for?

Thank you mikebg, but i don't want to detect small target such as coin .I ask all , do you know a detector to detect a metal (30*30cm) in 3 meter depth????? i need to detect in 3 to 4 meter depth.pi system can not detect in 4 meter depth and TR/RX system can not detect and vlf metal detector can not detect too, only GPR can detect and GPR is not metal detector and can not detect in rough terrain.for your opinion what i do ? I attach the penetration depth size of EM61 please lookand i did not buy. only I just ask all user
