    Hi i'll try posting again.
I'm after a detector kit that would be succesfull on highly mineralised ground. It must be either a VLF with ground balance or preferably a PI with variable pulse width. It must be sensitive to small gold. Is there such a kit to buy? Where can I get it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't yet afford a new detector, and am getting sick of hiring all the time.
    Thanks, Nenad.

    Re: Detector

You are in the Web site that has the best source
of building your own metal detector. Of all electronics devices, metal detectors seem to be very secret about info on good detectors. I have been looking for years. This site is the best one I could find. I ended up buying a
GoldMaster VSAT for nuggetshooting. Best of luck in finding a good detector to build. Rick S

      Re: Detector

I've just posted some some info on Trevor Hill's GoldPic PI detector in the Metal Detector section. He sells the PCB and PIC chip for it.

I don't think any of the VLF projects will be as good as what you can buy, esp for small gold.

        Re: Detector

Hi Carl. How well does the goldpic handle heavy mineralisation??
Has anyone here built one yet?
Let me know how you have found it.
        Thanks, Nenad.

The kit is on the way, and I plan to build it up ASAP. You should probably direct questions toward Trevor Hill. See the GoldPic page for links.
