1. a project that has good full detailed description you can get without difficulties or for low price.
2. fabric made PCB you can get for low price.
3. some group of people in internet wishing to help you if you have a problem in building of the project.
4. there is a place in internet you know where you are be glad to share your experience with the people.

I for one wouldn't like to start messing with anything that powerful. It would kill a pacemaker at 100 yds!

If this is so then why don't we have a decent BFO schematic? We all bust or buns trying to build the ultimate PI and if a BFO is a good way to go for gold lets do it ???

I have tried some BFO projects and never had much luck w/ them.

BTW - Happy 2012 - I pray you all get rich finding the big treasures and gold deposits.

Not used to find gold proper. Used to find Black Sands that contain Gold.

There are tons of BFO schematics on here.

I was just making a point that there is NO BEST Detector.
