Some times a picture paints a thousand words. I have followed this thread and others relating to the Bliss machine and i am happy with what i have seen. Some of the bulgarian videos are hard to follow due to the language barrier but Daryan at BlissUk has done some very good demonstrations of the machine and also is willing to answer any questions on the Bliss uk forum.
I have had other detectors including whites ETX, Minelab Excalibur, whites surf PI and a deepstar PI all very good machines in there own rights but this machine seems to offer a simplistic beep and dig approach without the need for many different tones or screens. It appears once you get it settled it is able to produce the goods. After asking a few questions it seems apparent that backing the gain off adds to the stability of the machine without the loss of depth. The beach video is very good, being an excalibur user i know i am missing those chains so maybe there is a little room in my stable for this machine.
I am in no way attached to the company or any individuals in it but it has to be worth a try so as such i will be ordering one this weekend. I will give you my honest feed back once i have given it a few trial runs
Evidently "Must have!". Wish to see some comment from my friend ivconic on this video here.
How is it stable on mineralised soil?
My comment is:
(Atlantis Imperator II showed much better performances on simillar tests ...yet it was complete crap under real soil conditions... )
So... i don't dare to place any sane comment here, simply because i hadn't that detector on test yet. Until than.... (probably will never happen...)
(BTW; Deus can beat up the shi.t out of that funny chain showed on video.
But, operator must be fair and honest and to adjust it properly... in case he is enough competent and able to adjust it and operate with it at all.
So; shortly: video is showing and prove NOTHING, except huge desire to sell as many as possible Blisstools to customers!)
What i don't like in those pretty ambitious video presentations is dishonest treatment upon any other brand and model!
Dishonest, unfair and malicious. And most of all: lying and false.
Deus programs "Wet Beach" and "Dry Beach" has Disc presets at 10, which is in a way too high to accept such "rubbish" alloy as what is presented in those two "gold" chains.
We do know very well that hardly that it is any gold in such alloys at all!
So Deus is fully REJECTING those chains - and it is NOT TRUE that Deus is not able to detect them at all!
Even worse; WET BEACH program is on preset Reactivity = 1 (horrible for smallest items and "chainy" stuff !!! Another proof of DISHONESTY here!)
Only fully conversant and educated MD owner and operater can understand this.
And those video clips makers should know much better than that!
So it is FALSE and UNFAIR what those tried to present at those rubbish videos.
More i read adverts on Blisstool and more i watch those idiotic "testings" - more am convinced that Blisstool is nothing but total CRAP!
Excuse me, you are carrying all the guilt for that!
Further; all this leads me to conclusion that Blisstool is indeed TOTAL CRAP with HORRIBLE BAD discrimination circuitry, because it is obvious that Bliss is ACCEPTING such poor and bad alloy as in those chains!
How about that, ha?
I cannot find nothing credible about in-field stability, main problem of most commercial Bulgarian detectors.
Instead of some credible independent tests, we got only promotional claims: "better than Deus, Excallibur, Etrac, TDI etc."
I have one of those Bulgarian detectors in past, REX Delta 6 (purchased from REX "company" and delivered by Micron "company") and promoted by German reseller as gold detector and by Italian reseller as "better for nuggets than MXT". In air test really fantastic, better than all previous brand I tested. But in field, huge instability, playing sound like Charleston band, practically unusable to work with. Yes, it can be silenced by its control, but in this case detector become mute on good targets too. The same experience with Turkish model Atlantis Imperator II, great in coin air tests, but worthless in field due its constant instability.
For now I am on hold (my money) regarding LTC64 promo claims.

This is true, I can confirm it , a know someone who has NRG 100 from mikron, the same detector as rex delta 6 , and he has the same problems totally unstable in the field. But this as you said a general thing with most bulgarian detectors, including the Pulse induction units made by mikron , I had one of those no real depth in soil. I guess the only exception would be golden mask? ,I know a user and did not complained about stability.
Blisstool manufacturer is a young boy 25y. old, and it seems has no experience in the construction of MD. He lives in a village in the mountains and it seems that he is hell-bent at all costs "succeed in business." Seeing how much advertising he has made in the net, I remain without words. No other manufacturer does that, and for a model which it mediocre with one audible tone, no display and no extras. Like most of his colleagues at the beginning of his career, pay attention to depth, but it is always at the expense of stability and discrimination. After a while, maybe he will understand what are the important qualities of a metal detector.

It's quite alright that boy to try to make a living from own work, no problem with that. On contrary; i can only salute his enthusiasm.
But that's not the point here. Point is in idiotic video where obvious bad intentions are viewable; to show something that it is not the truth!
For example; Deus is superior in all possible aspects over funny toy named "Bliss...", but guys who made that idiotic video wanted to prove oposite!
Just to justify this, moment ago i made this skim video:
Just skim testing Deus on tiny chain... room is highly "poluted" with various hums and interferences, ADSL, Radio, various switching power supplies and one noisy notebook computer... so Deus simply can not stay calm in such conditions....which is irrelevant for what i wanted to show with this test. I only wanted to show that Deus is very capable to detect tiny chain with clear response and descent distance (20cm and over, not really tested real limits because it is irrelevant).
Do i need to explain something more?
Do i need to comment it any more?
I don't think so...
dues on gold chains is very poor except on 18khz,and even then not much depth .
but then again many are poor on gold chains so any machine that picks them up good is a bonus.
i rubbed a gold chain over the coil in many deus programs and it wont see them at all.
not a peep .
so i reckon the beach test is a fair test ...

Fair!?!?
So, actually you are saying that my video from previous post is FATAMORGANA!?
Or maybe somehow i faked it!?
I don't work for XP nor i have any benefits for advertizing XP Deus here.
All i am trying here is to deal with plain truth.
And truth is: Deus is SUPERIOR in all possible aspects comparing to Blisstool... so as comparing to all other brands and models that ever existed in md history!
Maybe... just maybe Minelab GP and GPX can be on same level with Deus at some conditions.
So... yes; gold (or whatever) tiny chains are REALLY HARD targets for all brands and models, that's what i agree with you 100%.
But even so; Deus is much better on chains than Blisstool, too.
And those guys video is made to persuade us here in oposite.
That's the problem. And that's why i debate here.
On everything else we can almost agree.

In additon, i reconsidered what you are saying here and few second ago i performed detailed checks and tests.
GMP,Fast,Wet, Dry - all those do detect same chain very well at : 18,12 and 8kHz.
At 4kHz all those are detecting same chain very bad, maybe 1/5 from previous distance.
Dry performs much better than Wet, no matter which one of 3 mentioned freq. is choosen.
GMP outperforms all others.
To improve Wet detection of chain you must do certain trimming.
Lower Disc to 8. Rise Sense over 80 (up to 95 if possible).
Use any of those 3: 18,12 or 8kHz.
And Wet will perform much better.
We all must agree that 4kHz are certainly not ideal for tiny chain detection.
Yet other 3 are performing just nice.
Any of those 3 freqs and any of mentioned programs will outperform at chain detection any other brand and model i know, except Minelab GP and GPX.
That's the truth.
Thanks for you input and the video. Are you saying that the deus will hit the chains in the wet sand? Can you tell me if you have also achieved tha depth that the Bliss appears to be hitting on the gold ring in the beach video? Do you have any video of the chain test on the beach with a deus that you could point me to. Being an excalibur user i know that i am missing the chains
I am not wanting to start any arguments here i would just like all the facts that i can get at this time.
WM6,
My comment with the gain being backed off is how i see it being explained, not that someone has explained it exactly that way to me, i am sort of trying to read between the lines of what is being said and what i have watched. I am not technical in any way, hence why i try to read/watch before i buy. I am also hoping to get sound unbias assistance.
What i am struggling with at the moment, is that the UK buyers (who are posting) appear impressed with the machine, these are people that i have seen posting on forums for many years and i believed have some knowledge on the subject.
