  • Shadow PCB error?

Is anybody build this design? Is it works?
I ask because I found one error in PCB /possible/. There are maybe one unnessesary track. It begin from IC5(pin3) pass between pin1 and 2 (IC5) then pass between pin 1 and 2(IC1) and again return in pin 3(IC5).
Can you help me - is there error or I can't see PCB right?

    Re: Shadow PCB error?

The PCB trace you're talking about does completely wrap around the trace of pin 2. Most likely it's done to prevent noise coupling to the pin 2 trace, which is the node for the tuning sample-and-hold. Normally the S/H FET is 'off' so the pin 2 node of IC5 is very high impedance. Any noise from other traces that couple to this trace will make the tuning erratic, so wrapping the pin 3 trace around this node will provide some isolation.
