I put an ad out in a popular forum asking for non-working gold detectors for sale cheap. I can't justify buying a Minelab as I don't get out enough and don't have that great of luck/skill of finding stuff - plus I just like to fix things... A guy just emailed me saying he has a GP Extreme needing repair and that Minelab may not have the parts to fix it. What dies on these things? What would die that they would not be able to find replacement parts for?
Seems lots of independant repair shops in AU but any in the US? With everything coated in white epoxy and no schematic (except for the SD2000 ones here on site) it seems a real challenge to work on one, yes?
