Fisher 1280x

How do you open Fisher 1280x housing? The coil cable fails around strain relief connector. I would like to short down length of this cable for about 6”.

Did you ever figure out how to open the 1280x machine?

I know this is an old thread, but I am in need of opening one up.

Open the battery compartment. At the bottom there are 4 screws, they may be gooped over with silicone. Remove the screws and the faceplate should slide out, along with all the innards. It can be fairly difficult to get it started.

Thanks. I did finally see the screws, but didn't have to open it after all. The battery holder was a little wonky I guess. New batteries and the unit worked perfectly. Not really sure what I will do with this machine, as it needs a pole system, and will prolly sell without the poles.
