I SOW A DISCUSSION ON A ITALIAN PEOPLE THAT MOD A ACE 250 WITH 2 BATTERY OF 9V AND INVERTER TO GROW UP A TENSION ON COIL.

SAME ONE HAVE ANY IDEA?

bad idea. there is a converter inside and it increases the power to 8 Volts. imo you need to change your 6"x9" coil on something big size more. may be NEL coil. 12"x13". I appreciate what you write about, you offer to increase the supply voltage on TX stage, but ACE-250 is an enough sensitive machine. I did read in a forum two ACE-250 were been failed working under high voltage linies - opamps have been burnt.

it's widely famous Bounty detectors and Fisher F2 F4 use 2 (TWO) battery 9V. is it famous they are more sensitive than ACE-250 or Terra T-705 (4 batts) for example?

The ACE 250 runs on 4 AA battery's, just fine I have one, and its a great MD as it is

there is NOT clear picture what he made. there is NOT a photo inside. NOTHING! I also can connect 2 batts 9 V and say WOW IT WORK FROM THAT. let he will open his Garrett and show what he did REALLY
