In the GS4 the resister going to the gate was only 47 ohms
this cct has it at 470 ohms why the change ?

Maybe have another look at the circuit, I can see connection D from one of the 4538 quite clearly. The top right hand one.

Very interesting yo see the evolution GS4 to GS5 but ....

Audio vco part is missing and it is the "good part" think it is the last 2 pages....
