Guys Lipo's are easy but you have to use the proper balance charger
plugged into the small white plug, thats the charge plug to each cell.

I think that this should do the job:

Yes like 6666 mentioned the small white plug goes into a balance charger, to charge the cells individually . (They can be charged in series but is not recommended as a damaged cell would cause the others to overcharge etc.)

The thing to watch is you cant overcharge or completely drain a lithium pack so keep that in mind. Permanent damage will result.
A low voltage cutoff circuit or chip would be a good idea, or just don't drain the pack, recharge it before or after each use.

If you can live with that they make a lightweight option, available in different shapes.
        The price is affordable now.

One like in this link. Look around on eBay, they vary in prices.

Lots of batteries can be bought on eBay direct from China.
Different shapes and capacities are available.

Here is an example, no affiliation. Most ads will have the dimensions.
Any discharge rate should be sufficient for a detector. (20C, 35C etc.)

Just to assist any of our non English as a first language members, please read the word "shouldn't" for the word "can't" above in the quote. It is more correct to the situation concerned.

Cannot or can't implies that it is not possible to do, sadly it is possible to do and damage may result!!!! (Not that I am a LIPO expert, but I do know my NIMH!!)

            Regards

            Andy
