A friend of mine hooked up a dodgy coil to his GP3000 and the detector went quite.
It can now detect a car at 1cm, which used to be at least 1m...
I figure it is the front end FET...
So I am going to have a poke around and see if I can't fix it.
Any one know what the FET is for a gp3000?
Being a chemist I have access to lots of solvents so I am sure I can get the white crud off with something. I reckon that dichloromethane could do it, though I have other more exotic stuff.
But it would be nice to pre-order the right FET, so does anyone know what that may be?
Cheers :-)
