The problem with the Pulse Devil was that Dave could never draw a line in the sand and say "this is good enough." There was always one more improvement, one more feature, one more idea to explore.
The QED appears to be on the exact same road. Supposedly the current QED design is already better than Minelab, so why isn't that good enough for a first product?
None of this would be a Big Deal except for a certain very vocal zealot who overpromises and underdelivers, all while bashing a company that does deliver. While I applaud these independent efforts, I don't applaud is the grandstanding and denigration that's being dragged into them.
