    Hi, everyone,

I am new here and I hope you will answer my question, I build the Pi treasure hunter, but the dept it reaches is very poor.
I thought to build now the goldpic3, but unable to get the pre-programmed pic, contacted Trevor Hill but no luck.
My question: what according you guys is the best metal detector to build, because at the moment I do not have the money to buy a good one, Electronics is my hobby and I can program pics .
    Thanks in advance
    With kind regards
    Koen

Thanks for your input, next question is the surf P1 same as the white surfmaster P1, is it better to buy the PRO version (if there is kit), and what about the white surfmaster dual field.
Sorry for so many questions, but before I buy the kit I want to know for sure it is the best.
      With kind regards

It's a copy of the Whites Surf PI, which is a basic vanilla PI detector with Earth field elimination. I don't think anyone has cloned the Surf PI Pro.

As far as I know, "dual field" refers only to the coil, and does not require any special electronics to drive it. So it should be possible to make your own "dual field" coil, and attach it to the Surf PI.
