Do you cover the operational aspect of Minelab 7000 with its polarity flip transmitter and cover the pro’s and con’s ?

This is Carl’s face after reading the above

I do cover the 7000 TX method and CCPI in general, with some coverage of the benefits.

Good news... I've just ordered a proof copy of ITMD3 for final review. I still need to add a few images and George is still reviewing the last chapters, so there is a little editing going on. But all the data has been taken, all the words written, all the plots plotted, and all the schematics drawn. I should have the proof in a week, and it will take another 1-2 weeks to review it and make all final changes, then it will be available for purchase. Price is $50 but I will discount it to $40 through the end of the year.

Got the proof today. I'm hoping it's just because it's a proof, but the print quality is not as good as the earlier editions. The paper seems thinner and the photos are a little more washed out. In any case, there are a lot of images that need contrast adjustment and drawings that need thicker lines. Got my work cut out.

I found the same with the Arduino Nano VLF Metal Detector Project. At first I thought the print quality was due to it being a proof copy, but the non-proof copies were about the same. The overall thickness of the two books were also the same, so the paper thickness must be identical. When compared to ITMD2, the text and figures are definitely less sharp.

I just ordered a fresh copy of ITMD2 to compare with my original, to see if quality has degraded.

The third edition looks quite beefy.

It should be a much larger book with fewer pages IMHO. The book should be capable of remaining open on its own while on top the workbench.

Maybe not as large as 21x27cm but you can see my point. I understand the process is too far gone to turn, so we'll take it anyhow it comes.

You have done incredible work, Carl. Thank you for your efforts and good luck.

Today I submitted the final draft for ITMD3 to Amazon. For the last 2 weeks I've be in a constant state of final review including a complete cover-to-cover read-through. I'm a bit nervous because, even up to today, I've continued to find little things here and there. But I decided that's enough and pulled the trigger. Amazon needs to review it and get it ready for publication. Right now, it should be available to purchase no later than Dec 1. Price is $50 USD but I will do an introductory price of $40 until the end of the year. I am also working on a hardback version for $70 that will be available through bookstores and maybe Amazon, I don't know yet.

Believe it or not, the fastest way I learn is through mistakes. You are just a human being and that's our nature. Besides, you can always make a corrections reference here which, in my opinion, will highlight the topics they are in. So you need to relax my friend and thanks in advance for the brilliant hard work!

I received the new copy of ITMD2 and compared it to an original. It's exactly the same. However, ITMD1 is just slightly better quality, but that was published through a different publishing house, not Kindle. I think the key is to use appropriate line weights and gray shades. After the first proof, I went through the entire book and corrected this.
