i was just seeing what bolts will work to bracket the real PI case on.
It comes apart ...funny how half a rubber boat oar and a half a crutch fit together so well .
you might want to drill out the pop rivet that holds the handle on, replace it with a self tapping screw, if you look at the last pic the handle is pointing down, if you rotate it so it points up its more comfortable, at least i think so.
    looks good so far.

I am was not expecting that we are going to a good metal detecting beach tomorrow and its not finished wouldn't you know it ! so no treasure finding apart from kicking up the sand .
All the hard parts of it are done just a little bit on panel mounting the controls i can see are needed, and that water proofing of the coil case .

cnc is coming along, my brother built one, i thought about it but i can use his, anyway i'm more of a 3d printer kind of guy!
making prototypes was my work thing (years ago), i was taught the hand build methods, the forms of 3d printing there were, were exprimental expensive and useless at anything other than solid scale models, but today they can easily make all those fiddily parts and save loads of time.

Davros are you here in Oz ?

You can get nylon bolts at jaycars, and some of the better model hobby shops.
