      I use a hot air rework station I got off ebay. And a Weller temperature controlled soldering iron. The ultimate is a metcal, but it is to pricy for me. That is what we use at the company. Mine is an WELLER-EC2002BESD-Digital-Soldering-Station-w-EC1201PESD- It works well, and with a fine tip that is curled and filed I can do smt work. I HATE leadfree solder though. It is just a pain.

        I agree. I hate leadfree solder.
        I have Weller soldering, desoldering and hotair stations.
        They works perfectly.

          i have bought a youyue 8586 for around 40€ on Amazon in Germany
          very good for Amateur elctronics,
          during 5month of Hobby soldering the first soldering iron is defect, i think the heating element in the solder tip is the reason, got a replacement solder iron from the seller within one week - works ok again
          the hot air gun can be used to hot tinning pcbs, desolder old componets from broken Printers etc.
