Given what I've seen used as inductance meters, I think this cheap uncased desk top supply, that I use, is worth a mention. Currently priced at $9.45, though normal higher price claimed.
Variable volts, adjustable current limit and displays of voltage and current.
Current only displays above about 30ma and you have to test out the current limit, with suitable load by winding the screw (nearest the power out) until the voltage drops. Somewhat hidden red led on while it activates.
In volts: 5V-30V
Out Volts: 0.8V-29V
Voltage reduction only
Attach a mains power supply and you are away. Cheap and chearful, but amazing for the price.
