help with buttons Please

So I am going to use this sd card logger in my magnetometer project. All is fine,,,,,,but I need to be able to use (push) the small on board button switches from the cabinet. I can mount the unit right on the front of the cabinet but I need some sort of button that will work. Any ideas on this. I have seen products that have small push buttons but I don't know where to get them or[/IMG] even what they are called. I need to press the RESET and STOP buttons.

Maybe you can adapted clasical (mechanical not such on film) key for keyboard to your two switches by remove bottom of key and mounting it (by glue) over your switch.

Why don't you simply wire separate pushbutton switches across the ones on the PCB, and mount them on the front panel?

If they are changeover switches you could alternatively remove the existing ones first.

I know but..

That is how I normally do this type of thing but this entire board is TINY and the switches are just crazy small. Plus its all SMT and that just isn't in the cards for my old eyes.....

Understands your pain, but these buttons will also be on the edge of plate (the opening hole STOP, RST)?!
Does the program will add to the ARM?

look at the guts of an old vcr and see how the switch is activated on those. You could try using a small open body switch (looks like a phone jack with a button stuck in it) drill a small hole in the button for a "probe that would reach from the panel to the board. Careful alignment would be needed. Push the button down, push the probe to activate the switch, add drop of super glue to hold the probe in place. After it sets, trim the probe flush with the top of the button. Done right, the button will bottom out and will not put undue pressure on those ridiculously small switches. How do they make them anyway??!! Maybe something on the How It's Made.
