ID:	429697 One day, I was metal detecting, near the Interstate, on the west side of it, on some old lots, that at one time held old houses, but the houses were torn down and removed when they built the new INTERSTATE
highway through Colo Springs. There were several that were THINNER then normal, obviously someone got them in change, lost them on the lot, and I found ALL OF THEM. Never saw THIN PENNIES before!!!
Probably none of you have seen them EITHER. Well now you have seen them here!!!!!!!!

Oh, I found a 1955 Lincoln with the LAST 5 "double shifted", not the entire date though, just the last 5 of the date. Probably when it started THE shifting that doubled the date.... RARE??? I showed it to the
cureator at the American Numismatic Assn museum, he never knew only ONE existed. Said he never knew of any with just one 5 shifted before... Now on the photo of the THIN pennies, they are of 1952 and of 1953, and I found 3 of them that day metal detecting. They are thin planchets, and the stamping on them is thin stamping as well. That was in 2018 back then that I found them...No rim at all or just a trace of the rim on the three coins... I guess they were
TOO THIN for the DIE to do a clear stamping on the 3 pennies. RARE??? I think so that they are rare too... i got the 55 Lincoln in a roll of pennies, as I used to go looking for small dates and large dates pennies. Got lots of those
small and large dates pennies back during those times too...
