  • I found lots of GOOD things.............Took photos of them back in time!

I used to detect, did not discriminate out the targets, and dug all target sounds. Want to see what I found?????

Now first things from the old mining towns in Colorado:

I used to search old mining areas up in the mountains...This was an old town site, just grassy and rocky and I searched it slow and methodically! On a hump of dirt I started finding old newpaper items...

It was near Cripple Creet small mining town. I dug up the headlines for the town of Annaconda, but it burned to the ground back in 1904. The lead pieces above, were from that old hump that was either the newspaper or an old print shop! The photo below, was near an old highway out in the country... I had already found the OLD FORT site, as I found empty rifle shell after shell!!!

Here below, was what I found from OLD FORT MITCHELL, on the Oregon Trail and Mormon Trail...

Now I was a National Park Ranger there in 1960, used to eat my lunch in the vault, where they kept the
Oregon Trail diaries, so I read what the people said as they went through the Mitchell Pass area...I
could not detect that area, it was U.S. Govt property, but the farms nearby, were Volga German farmers,
and I was a Volga German myself, so I reaped and reaped!!! I fount lots of small items, searching very slow,
without discrimination you see. I do not reject anything, dig it up, keep it if old and relics or old coins or jewelry...

I called all of the small finds, GOODIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I enhanced each and everyone of these finds!!!!

Over the years, I found lots of DIAMOND RINGS, now those were GOLD and/or PLATINUM RINGS. You do not find Diamonds in silver rings. So I found a hell of a lot of
SILVER RINGS too. Removed the Diamonds from the Gold Rings, stuck them into an empty Check Book Box. Do I have photos of the Diamonds??? YES I do!!!

Now I want you to noice, the green stones??? EMERALDS!!! All of these stones came from either
Gold Rings and/OR PLATINUM rings!!! Now some really really NICE RINGS??? I kept the Diamonds
on those really nice rings. Still have them. Did not take photos of them like this box of Diamonds!!!
What is my point??? It pays NOT to DISCRIMINATE out targets metal detecting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to OLD OLD PLACES, I found a heck of a lot of VINTAGE TOKENS. Some call them TRADE TOKENS, and I just called them tokens.
I filled up page after page, making a large TRADE MANUAL. I will post the copy below, and one can download and look at all the tokens!!!
Now the Colorado banker, had nephew who was working on the COLORADO TRADE TOKENS heavy book, and he wanted to see what I
had found. The banker, gave me his LESHER TOKENS to hold, and took my trade tokens to Denver to that writer. He took photos of
token after token, and put the photos in the large TOKEN BOOK!!! I put MY TOKENS below, take a look, some are ONE OF A KIND!!!!
He was in charge himself of the ANA (American Numimistatic Assn) and the writer was his nephew!

Now, I was born, IN THE GREAT DEPRESSION of America. It started in 1929, I came out later on. I remember going to town, but mom and dad were very tight with
their money. I went to the Movie Theater, it was only 35 cents for me to watch TWO MOVIES. I would come out, go to the drug store, buy a funny book (called COMIC
BOOKS) today, but we called them funny books. It cost me a dime. Then I went to the candy store, bought a Baby Ruth for a nickle, got a small Coco Cola bottle
of POP, went to the car, and began to eat the candy bar while I read my funny book. I would open and drink from the Coke bottle, they were glass bottles back then,
not plastic like today. I got a lot of DEPRESSION paper money. Never heard of it did you??? Well I got a collection!!!!!!!!! I wrote a book about my paper money!!!

money is $50,000,00.00...... That is 50 MILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a KID, I had 50 million dollars in paper money!!! The other two bills, are
$1,000 and $5,000, and I think one was $50,000 dollars. I was a rich kid, just did not have the actual money you see!!!!!!!!!!!!
