Reading Hebrew letters is not the same as making sense of what is written. I learned Hebrew some 10 years ago, so I may recognise the letters, but there is a problem of abbreviations in Hebrew that complicates things a lot. With coins it is much more useful to recognise the very coin, as there are usually a few more of them in some collections, and most of them are well documented. People well versed in coins will be able to recognise the coin even if they don't know the language.

I don't think it is a coin, but a synagogue token or a medal. Something like this one: https://historama.com/history-shop/j...us-events.html

The inscription in the middle is (if I read it correctly):
          והבאתי אותם לאדמתם
Which would be something Biblical, in my broken internet translation something like "and I brought them to their homeland" (or something). If you know a Rabi, you'll learn much more, as they read Biblical Hebrew with ease. (And no one else does)
