  • FISHER TH PRO

TO MARK S.: Not sure if you have this one, it looks like new and the only problem with it is the C-Cell battery holder! It is on E-bay, not sure on how much time is left on it. So you better act quickly! Joe

I do have one but it is not in very good shape and missing the arm extension. I had seen this one and plan on bidding.

    Thanks

      FISHER TH PRO

It sold for $42.05 I wasn't planning on bidding but could not figure if Mark S. was bidding or not? Also I did not want it to go for $31.00 or so, So I bid up to $40.01 Mark S. did you get it? If I won I was going to trade it to you! Oh well I should have bid $50.01 or so. Hope it found a GOOD HOME........JOE

I was the winner on that one. Thought there would be more bidders as that model does not show up very often. Thought it would go for more.

            Fisher TH-PRO

UK Brian told me that you and Mark S had some experience with the vintage Fisher TH-PRO. A well-meaning friend began to repair my dad's old detector and removed the connectors to the batteries (two c-cells). I guess they were corroded. He didn't finish the job, but he had me buy two connectors for 9 volt batteries. I'd like to fix it, but I don't have his know-how when it comes to electronics. UK Brian said Joe (TX) and you had a discussion about changing power supplies for this old model. Can you help me? I see two red wires coming from the board and a black wire connected to the off knob. How did you make the change from C to something else? The machines is in good shape aside from the lack of a power source.
            Thanks,
            Whitney

I recently picked up a Fisher TH-PRO, The eBay seller was asking an arm and leg for it but accepted my ofter after it didn't sell on the first round.

I changed out the old battery connections with a more current setup, Two 9-volt batteries.....They are arranged parallel so the circuit board only receives 9-volts, Be careful not to arrange them in series otherwise the circuit board will be getting 18 volts.

The Fisher TH-Pro is a nice addition to my Vintage Fisher collection, Still missing a few other vintage Fisher models I'd like to get someday.
