not related to George's board... =)
new one will have 86-87mm lenght fitting the underwater camera EKELITE DISC CASE / box... as promised... thats main change.
Some of the Ikelite boxes will fool you in size, request or research the interior and exterior size. Some are real heavy, some appear to be the right size and then when you get them you realize you find they are totally unsuitable. There are many Ikelite housing to choose from and if you watch you can get a good housing for under $30.00. The smaller your circuit board the better chance of finding a workable housing. Older Ikelite housing do make great waterproof boxes that can be converted for U/W metal detectors.
I bought a housing like this last year for $20, right size but, because of the thickness, it is heavy. At least you know its waterproof to 250'. You may also want to look at the waterproof underwater flashlight housings. Some of the older ones had larger housings. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEAMPUNK-7-...YAAOSwWntXNOId
Here is one for a couple of bucks. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/201690928784?...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Ha, aha . . . could always mount a flashlight in front. Beware though, these sell for $250 plus, and this guy has no selling record. SCAM!
is this the new ones that silverdog is selling im thinking about buying one ??

Thanks to George and everyone else who contributed to developing this wonderful project. Baracuda #4 works as it should! Completely free from noisy coil movement and all the depth that it should have from the latest Silverdog kit.
Good evening,
I just built a baracuda geo..very good it works at the last welding.
I have, however, a question on step n7. Without oscilo, but with a multimeter.
It should get -2.1v or + 2.1v ?? I could not get below +1.05v ....
The coil of my system is 25cm in diameter, and 460mh.
I wonder if the delay works correctly, from the problem of setting R14 ....
Thank you all for your help ..
Lamoiz.

Without an oscilloscope it is impossible to know what the delay is set to, and since we don't know the details of your coil, it's quite possible that the voltage quoted in Step 7 may be different. As long as the voltage actually changes when you adjust R14, and also when a metal target is close to the coil, then everything is probably working ok.
