Can i get my minipulse plus to work with my minelab 10x5 double d coil?

Hey guys. Here again sorry. I have a minelab xt18000 (very similar to eureka and uses same coil) vlf detector which runs the 10x5 double d coil. Can i set my minipulse to work with this coil? Would be good if all i have to do is swap over the box on my detector to go from vlf to pulse

That would be a NO! LOL That is a VLF Coil. Different Animal. Resistances and Inductance are Way out of what the PI would be able to function with.

Just out of interest what is the difference between the double d coil in my minelab vlf and the ones for my minipulse?

VLF Coils are Tuned to Frequency. PI coils are tuned for Power and Magnetic Field transfer.

One thing that has always got me wondering is if vlf coils are wound for certain frequencies then how does it work with my detector that has settings for 3 different frequencies? :/

The The Control Box PCB selects different Tuning Caps or what not to set the coil (A Given Inductance) to the desired frequency.
