Does anyone her tried to use charcoal as raw material for coil shield. I found it to be conductive and the cheapest.

Never tried it. Don't see why it wouldn't work. Sure are a lot less messy options I would think. Kinda of Ironic. Most times you want to paint something Electronic or Electrical your hunting the world for some NON Conductive paints. We want the Conductive and have issues finding the right stuff. LOL

What you mix it with also affect the results.
Some things you would think would work don't.
Had success with both yacht vanish and PVA glue. Epoxy resin and rubber glue failed

Use epoxy resin (used for impregnating fiberglass) and add graphite powder (you can get it from art supplies stores , they use it for painting) until it is very thick , but still flows as a liquid. I got good results with this method. And if you manually adjust the earth field elimination circuit width , no more false signals from earth's field. Tried it on surf pi 1.2 which detects earth field if not tuned properly and with poor shielding.

i covered two copper foil strips about 6" apart using my epoxy and grafite. When tested with a multi meter it was open circuit.
Same test with PVA was 100 ohms
