Is there a good diagram out there to make a 60cm spider coil that have inner and outter winding like the tutorial posted on radiolis.pp.ua for a 21cm one?
What's the advantage of having two separate winding? I understand spider coil design is meant to reduce coil capacitance. Is the inner-outter winding design just to improve on that by separating the wires farther?
Also, what's the best cable to make connecting cable between coil and box? XLR cable? Is Stagg a good quality cable? I tried rg58 cables and the modified felezjoo won't accept it. It accepted all normal wires, but not rg58 cables. The funny thing is that exact peice of rg58 cable worked fine with impulse III. So I don't understand the problem. Is the rg58 cable capacitance giving him unacceptable auto delay value or what?
