Trying to fix an audio circuit

So I came to ask for any input you guys can give. so I have a set of noise canceling headphones and they are way too sensitive. I wonder if putting more resistance on the input microphones will correct it they also have a hum that I think can be corrected with caps. I can post pictures of the circuits and maybe post part numbers if I can read them.
