  • Accurate Locators, Geophysical Metal Detectors

I just returned from Las Vegas testing the Runabout locator that sells for $8,475.00 made by Accurate locators http://www.accuratelocators.com/ In the past few months I have exhausted my search for a deep seaking metal detectors. I have been amused with detectors like Minero and Rangertel and shocked at the extent that company's like Kellyco and OKM are pushing junk for my hard earned dollars. Has anyone purchased one of Accurate locators products . Either the Double Magnum, Runabout, Discovery or Imager. Any information please................Randy

I own the Runabout from Accurate Locatots

I purchased the Runabout from Accurate Locators and spent the last 3 months in Central America looking for buried treasure. I've come and gone from Central America looking for treasure for the past 8 years and used many different machines and haven't found any gold. I have many locations where all the machines I have had said that there is gold, silver and bronze buried at but when I start the digging nothing is there. What’s funny is that in 2006 I had two locations where my machines detected gold and silver, I spent 6 months there looking for it and dug many holes and sum as deep as 60feet and couldn't find anything. Once I left back to America another American treasure hunter came into that town and was told of me and the locations where I was looking for the treasure. He went to the location and spoke to the property owner where I detected the gold and silver. The property owner told him to try his luck and gave him permission to search on his property. I was told that the detector he had used 32 batteries. By the next morning of him being in my location he found a chest filled with gold and silver buried 3 feet deep. I was told that he and the property owner split it and each got $270,000. They had to melt down what they found because it was all allot of old coins. The property owners female house worker saw them melting the treasure in the house and over heard them speaking of me and how they found my treasure. The property owner now owns a car dealership in that town and in his lot he has 27 different brand new cars and has a $50,000 car himself that he bought with the money from the treasure. I was told and shown all this when I went back to Central America. I now that there are still much more and bigger spots that I have located that have gold, silver and bronze but can’t pin point the location. Do you know anyone who has experience and can help me pin point it and is willing to travel with me to Central America to pin point and uncover the treasure? I would greatly appreciate it

Hi Randy, I was going to answer your post when I realized who you were! Did you ever get your unit working after you left my place?

        Accurate Locators and OKM >>>

Accurate Locators and OKM are one in the same. I have used and owned units from both of them and can honestly say they are almost identical except software. I have also used many GPR type units without success in soils in Greece and Mexico. Never hunted where you stated so don't know about those conditions. I had no success at all with these units and like you lost two really valuable treasures to other treasure hunters. I spoke with many others that had the same results as me also. I am not saying that these locators are bad as maybe I just am not using them correct ? I was trained by the people at Accurate Locators so think I was doing the right thing. Also I had many problems with them breaking down on a constant basis so finally gave up and sold the units for a fraction of what I paid. This is only my opinion and so hope it helps-Good Luck

If you really want to spend almost $10K, buy a real geophysical sensor such as a Geometrics G-856 magnetometer. It is a proton procession sensor and I think the single sensor unit is about $5K and the gradiometer is probably about $8K. No real sensor is going to tell you what is buried in the ground (gold, silver, bronze) and especially not in real time. If it was don't you think that the mining companies would be using it?

Go buy the magnetometer, learn to use it and how to set up proper survey grids. Then you collect your data and process it with the free software that Geometrics provides (MagPick, MagMap2000). Look for any large anomalies and start digging. This is how geophysicists do it every day.

Ryan- myself and some others have tried this with no success. Thank you for your input but I think I will shop around. ( might be just too difficult for us though)
Randy- join the club, at least you just bought from Accurate Locators. I bought from them and OKM. Big mistakes. Plus I have used different GPRs with no results. Had terrible results with product support also from both places. I have some ideas so will keep trying. Thanks for the input.

Hi, about the Runabout I've hear a team succeeded one time by this device in my country
(from Middle east) they found a medium size gold statue at 2 meters depth.
about OKM products they work, but not necessarily as they advertise. there are so many points that most of users are ignorant.
some years ago I knew another team that found 6-7 treasure by Omintrone + a PI metal detector + OKM Future 2005. they found all at great depths like 6, 7 and even 11 meters.

I attached a PDF file(albeit had attached before in this forum in other thread) about my questions from one of my compatriot who had some success by his exp-4000 and 5000. I don't know him and for a while I had only e-mail communication with him and now he is disappeared and doesn't answer me anymore. maybe he is now imprisoned.
these were all I knew. hope be a way.

Hi, yesterday I received e-mail from the guy I wrote about.
he tells that Runabout is a copy of OKM exp series, but is better and more powerful.
he tells have buried a petty amount of gold at 1 meter, his exp4000&5000 gave no signal, but Runabout could.
He wrote that has uses Fitzjerald's Navigator and is completely unsatisfied.
                  but is very satisfied PPL.
He is fully unsatisfied of both LRLs made by OKM.
for his latest project he's hit a place and checked there by his exp 4000, 5000 and Runabout all confirmed there. it seems be a jar of coins at 2.5 meters depth.
here I put an image of one of his sent files to me (by exp) .

                    Hello Randy,
I was been searching for deepseeker detector that can reached around 25 ft. for buried gold, is Runabout by accurate locators be able to do this job?, I mean ,is the machine that you bought working as what advertised??

                    Cheers...Fordranger

If your friend is using the Navigiator from fitzgerald he should be VERY happy. I have seen great results in the Philippines and also two other locations with it. I tried it myself and was very happy. My friends like the PPL but I am just learning it. I also tried the L-ectra search but has mixed results, am thinking of getting another as mine is gone. maybe better results this time ? I also had no results with the OKM LRLs as they were very confusing. I haven't tried the ICONOS but two friends say the same as MINEORO but I don't know. I also heared that navigator has been upgraded and are better than even one I used. I exchange email with person from middle east and he is pleased with his also. He likes E sope and two others I never heard of. maybe just different thoughts. Perhaps some people know machines better-Good Luck !

PS- I also find this link- www.oldcharter.com . Any place to find lectrasearch website? Thanks

                            Hi.
About Iconos I have no opinion a I haven't used it.
And albeit I have used Mineoro FG80 just for 4-5 months (as gave it to investor guy)
Without any result, can’t definitely overrule it.
about Fitzgerald Navigator all I know is based on this user only he emphasized that Navigator is a useless device, but PPL is very good and from now will use only PPL as his LRL!!!!!!

today I received a picture of their digging result based on PPL + exp4000
that you see the software screen up here. they found these at 210 Cm, whereas the software depth show was 250Cm. interesting. It seems be some very old brass objects like bracelet.
oh BTW; just for your information He mentioned that had checked there by Runabout too. Runabout had discriminated as non-gold object.
