White's 4900/D mods

Hey gang are there any performance enhancing mods or tune-ups that would apply to the 4900/D, I just purchased one (fleabay) and want to bring it up to current snuff?

I need to have some reviews and comments about Whites 4900/D Pro Plus performance, because i m looking for one unit at the price of $100.
Is this unit good?

Nelson......I haven't had much time with my unit I loaned it to my son-in-law and he still has it. He says he has made some interesting finds, can't remember what, with it. Gramps

Thanks a lot for your time and feedback about this detector.

Yestarday i just got it at a very ship price. No to much time to do some test, but my first tries was ok at no discrimination. With discrimination it turned hard to me to allow it to work properlly. However, it look promissing showing good deep.
