Hello!
I see the schematic of Superscan, but I don't understand how can flow bigger current in the coil then an usual 12V machine, because the Superscan has a 2.2Ohm resistor inline the FET? 24V/2Ohm coil+ 2 Ohm resistor = 6 A max. At a usual 12v PI machine can make the same. How Superscan can detect deeper? I don't understand...

with several several little things.
It is like asking amount watered a plant ???
1) be more specific
2) what targets searching
3) by separating the mono for ferrous
4) in search of the sea mountain
?????????????????????Originally posted by sirbedevir View PostHello!

For a 390uH coil:
Tau = L/R = 390uH/6 Ohm = 65usec
390uH/2 Ohm = 195usec
These are the times required to reach 63% of Peak current. 5 x Tau time is needed to reach near maximum current.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RL_circuit
With lower Voltage and lower Resistance the TX ON pulse must be longer to reach the same coil current. This then limits the maximum Pulse rate (PPS).
In addition, what is to TC's of the integrator stage and what is the PPS rate???
Both of these factors play a big part in the detector's sensitivity and depth.
