A few new features:
- coil delay auto measurement mode
- 12 timing profiles covering 100 - 1200 pulses per second with proper main pulse width to keep the same power consumption in the entire pps range.
There are also half power profiles.

Support for ATmega8 is completly finished because of too small flash memory size

Every timing profile eg. 200Hz/140us ensures constant power consumption. I have set it on the level 100mA for full power and 50mA for half power.
When you change the timing profile you have to re-set main sample dalay also. The higher pps ratio the delay is shorter. Good idea is to use auto delay measurement mode and
restart electronics when profile is changed.

Wide range of timing profiles (regarding frequency )in the v004 is completly useless. The same with half power profiles. I have noticed huge VDI instability.
In the v005 only 3 profiles 100,200 and 400Hz with constant pulse width 120us are issued. Power consumption varies according to the profile. The higher frequency the more power consumed. Maximum power consumption is 130mA. Low frequency can be used as eco power mode

Why do you bother with power consumption numbers?
With wide range of high capacity low priced batteries this shouldn't be an issue.

I do not worry about power consumption in the first line but it is important issue by the way. 130-140mA this is max. acceptable value in my opinion.
The value is higher than majority of commercial detectors
Shortening pulses width and increasing pulses frequency has no sense because we loose essential VDI stability and there is no range/sensitivity improvement. Even worse...
I did a lot of tests.
So I am forgetting about useless profiles with half power like in the v004
