Hi all, i'm going to try to build a detector with the SilverDog Surf PI kit. (I couldnt see a section of the forums dedicated to this type of board or 'project builds' so i've posted here, please inform me if it's wrong and where it should go - i will deleted this and repost elsewhere if needed).
So i only needed to put a trench across our driveway and avoid our telephone cable, but as usual, it's evolved into more than that... as i started researching detectors, then bidding on ebay (they are so expensive to a beginner). so that's why i'm trying this Surf PI kit from silver dog. I do like a project! So i'm really looking forward to getting it all up and running ASAP (i hope!). I might try and make a build video from it too - we'll see. Can i put progress pics here? im not sure how this forum works yet. Also is there a central forum for UK metal detecting? (to find a local club) i found one but according to that site my nearest club was 1.5hrs drive.
Hopefully in the end i'll be able to find/(avoid!) my telephone cable AND have some fun metal detecting
