This device could find large and medium metall objects at depth 1,5-2 metres. I think on if use better amplifire we can easily increase this parameter. Working frequency was 12kHz. Now look to the transmiter circuit.Attached Files

On the circuit BP is transmiter coil. It consist of 400 turns - 10+390 - 0,6mm wire. The amplitude on the top end of coil is several hundreds volt so coil capasitor made from two capasitors C11 and C12 connected sequentially for protection against high voltage. A1 - is neon lamp! It is for visual control of transmiting power. R15, R16 and transformer Tp2 are parts of signsal compensator that connected to reciver. Frequency termostability of this blok - +/-120 Hz at temperature range from -20 to +50. Transmiting power - 0,8watt. Will be any qwestions about transmiter?

And else two words about transmiter... Searh coil Q is 30. Amplitude stability of transmiting signal at temperature range from -20 to +50 is +/-5%. Tp2 consist of 200 and 10+10 turns of 0,1mm wire. It winded on ferrit ring 20x12x6mm M2000. And then look at the reciver.Attached Files

I`ve got an experience of making "TR locators" and say next: if you want to achive good depth of finding you have to increse gain and compensation of signal. It is more impotant than power of transmiting. You won`t make good VLF TR locator without signal compensator. Look hereAttached Files
