    Hi All,
Like the rest of you I'm trying to build a sidescan. I've seen all these lovely pictures produced by software packages, but can't find any out there that are actually for sale without being part of a complete sidescan package. So, it looks like I'll have to write my own. Can any of you guys recommend which programming language I should learn which has the ability to take data from either serial/parallel/network port and then can draw a nice picture with the results in real time?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jason.

also try Triton-Elics, they are pricey, but they have a complete Data Acquisition and Processing package for use with various commercially available SSS's
