On a closer look you'll notice that this probe is not unlike the DD coil, only it is nulled by rotation against the identical plate. So the revolutionary part is a clever design of a DD coil ... or not - the most vulnerable part of every detector is it's coil. Integrating all the electronics with a coil, and making a coil itself so tender and exposed is perhaps a key point of their business model. Something like the one for one-day disposable contact lenses. They expect their customers to visit regularly.

From block scheme is it not clear how MTC MD can compensate soil problems like hot rocks, black sands and other rapid changes in soil and retain sensitivity.

Unfortunately, this “cross field” coil configuration is unable to match standard coil of any type in detection depth, good for portable machine or pinpointer, but not much more. Tried. ML is safe for now, Nazi gold too...Just about everything can be balanced.

Same as DD coil does. Observe how Rx and Tx are partially overlapped - it IS the same as DD. Perhaps only a bit more sensitive in a middle.

Simply post in the forum the operating manual. Then we will think what to test.
                    How to find these documents?

                      Seems ok.

The fact the windings are crossed reduces the null by design/manufacture.

Id guess these dont need manually nulling in production. If true would save a lot of labour cost.

Ive been toying with adding a decent AGC to a Det receiver. I like the fact they use the Rx level to adjust the Tx power - nice touch.

That's really a nice (beach) detector. I like it.
The design is based on KISS-principle. That's another reason, why I like it.
And I like the "Switch on and go" feature with no fiddling on detector.

                              Well done to the designers.
