  • Walking Stick with MD

I hope you do not laugh at me ...
I made me a walking stick. (for a long period of illness chemotherapy, etc.)

The rod is made from bamboo. I drilled out the thin walls between the chambers. Thereafter, a plastic tube is glued to the rod. The handle is made of walnut wood.
And now the main thing: In the bar I have installed a metal detector.

A very narrow PCP. Actually, a Pinpointer.

    http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...-Minimax-PP-II –( tread 32)

The wire is wound on a ferrite rod - length 15cm. The length of the winding 3.5cm
    400 turns, 0.3 mm wire.
I use stabilizer to 5V. I think is better. See link! (The circuit with the zener diode has a small flaw -., The series resistor must be recalculated at 9V but also works well)

In the cap I have installed an old mobile phone vibrator.
The jumper I can either turn on the buzzer or the cell phone vibrator.

Wow, with this detector I can keep on detecting even if I become 100 years old...
    Thanks for sharing!

BTW, the last image is blank.

      Of course not.

Here is my crutch solution, made for my friend, who (although he ended up on crutches) cannot live without detecting:

It is made out of crutch and cheap Chinese into earphone build metal detector. Now, he still can use crutch along with metal detecting.

It's beautiful. Adds a file to the message you first lay pcb.

extending this approach to a passive detector at LF could give you some serious depth

Unfortunately, I had no PCB layout for sprint layout found on the net.
So I have edited the image file laboriously with Windows Paint ....
Unfortunately, very unprofessional, I know. But it works.

WM6, what are your values in the drawing?

I bore some holes in Dixix PCB layout design only.

Thanks WM6 for answers. But is not it my picture is right?

Walkman, its a nice drawing! With Sprint Lay?
The series resistor by the Zenerdiode 3,3V must be 81 Ohm not 1kOhm. (With 9V Battery). If I had not miscalculated. I'm not an electrician.
My layout (top, where WM666 has kindly drawn holes), is left somewhat changed for a stabilizer 78L05. Then no BC550 and ZD 3,3 needed.
