Is there any way around not having to run in zero discimination
What I have found
Using a 10" homemade DD
Disc up to canceling small iron makes little difference on small thin silver if the coin (UK silver six pence) is horizontal to the coil
However if the coin is perpendicular to the coil the difference between 0 disc and normal disc setting is over 50% loss of depth
With a smaller coin perpendicular (Henry V cut half penny) running at normal Disc setting the coin has to be almost touching the coil
Tried altering the sweep speed/threshold/ground balance nothing works except lowering Disc setting to 0.
